Todd Manning is the VP & General Manager for AbbVie UK, a position he has held since August 2019. He has served as an active Board member of the ABPI since April 2020 and is currently the Chairperson of the American Pharmaceutical Group (APG).

Todd joined the UK affiliate during a time of rapid portfolio transformation and organizational evolution that has placed AbbVie in a position to engage frequently with the NHS and system influencers across the medicines access pathway. This experience provides broad, UK-relevant experience to draw upon.

AbbVie finalized its acquisition of Allergan in May 2020 which has expanded the company’s UK footprint and further diversified AbbVie’s portfolio.

As General Manager, Todd is passionate about helping to redefine and enhance industry’s relationships with the NHS, collaborating with stakeholders to further improve standards of care and access to innovation.

Todd has previously held the position of General Manager, AbbVie Ireland, with responsibility for the affiliate’s commercial operations and external engagement. Todd was an active member of the life sciences sector in Ireland, elected to the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) Strategy Board since 2016 and Deputy Vice President on the IPHA Board of Directors. He was the co-Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the negotiating team for the industry.

He has operated in a number of geographies, including the U.S. and Canada, and served in a number of roles since joining AbbVie in 1996, including serving as Business Unit Manager, Division Director and Senior Commercial Director. Prior to joining AbbVie, Mr. Manning worked with Cambridge Isotope Laboratories.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Massachusetts.
