Rebecca Cosgriff
Rebecca is a Deputy Director in NHS England’s Innovation, Research, Life Sciences and Transformation Strategy team, and Programme Director for the Data for R&D Programme. The Programme is investing in making the world’s largest linked health datasets securely available for research purposes.
Prior to joining the team, Rebecca was Director of Data and Quality Improvement at the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, where she implemented a new technology platform for the UK CF Registry, launched three integrated clinical trials as a co-investigator, developed the Registry pharmacovigilance programme, and implemented national systematic collection of Patient Reported Outcomes and Experience measures as well as staffing data. Rebecca also led the CF Registry Global Collaboration, with 22 member countries and four publications on COVID-19 in cystic fibrosis.
Her career spans health data in the NHS context across mental health, ophthalmology, and neurology. Rebecca also managed both the National Adult and Congenital Heart Surgery Registries at the National Institute for Cardiovascular Outcomes Research (NICOR) and has worked with the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership to publish consultant-level outcomes from 13 health data assets across a range of surgical specialties.
