I have over 25 years of experience as an acute care physician in general internal medicine and medicine for older people at University Hospital Southampton. In addition to my clinical interests in the subspecialty area of Parkinson's disease I have held senior clinical and educational leadership roles for the NHS.
These have included:
• Clinical lead for all acute medical services at University Hospital Southampton
• Head of medicine for the Wessex postgraduate medical school
• Director of Medical Education University Hospital Southampton
• Associate Dean Health Education Wessex for workforce redesign
• National Quality Lead for the Royal College of Physicians
• Regional representative to National British Geriatric Society
